Training for Everyday Life
Dog training is about much more than teaching cues.
It’s about helping you and your dog understand each other, building confidence and developing practical skills that make everyday life easier and more enjoyable.
Using kind, choice-based and positive reinforcement methods, I’ll help you build engagement, connection and skills that work in the real world, while supporting your dog to learn at their own pace.

Training is about more than teaching your dog what to do. It’s about learning together, building confidence and developing skills that make everyday life easier.
Using kind, choice-based and positive reinforcement methods, I’ll help you strengthen your connection, understand your dog and build practical skills you can enjoy together.

Every dog learns differently. Their personality, experiences, confidence, environment and what motivates them all influence how they learn. My training isn't about creating the perfect or most obedient dog. It's about helping you understand the dog at the end of your lead and giving you both the skills to enjoy everyday life together.
Dog training isn't only about teaching your dog: you are an important part of the learning too.
I'll help you understand how your dog learns, recognise their communication and develop practical skills you can confidently use outside our sessions. Whether you're starting with a puppy, navigating adolescence or simply want to build better everyday skills, I'll support and guide you without judgement.
Before asking “How do we train this?”, I like to consider what your dog needs to be able to learn successfully.
Can they focus? Are they comfortable? Do they understand what we're asking? Is the environment too distracting?
Are we making learning worthwhile and enjoyable? By understanding the dog in front of us, we can make training clearer, easier and more successful for everyone.

There is no one-size-fits-all training plan. Your dog's age, breed, personality, experiences, environment and individual needs all matter. Training is adapted to suit the dog in front of me and the everyday life you share together.
Whether we're working on recall, lead walking, engagement, calmness, confidence or everyday life skills, we'll find approaches that work for you and your dog.
One of the most important things I can teach isn't a dog training exercise; it's helping you understand your dog.
I'll show you how to recognise their communication, understand what motivates them and know when they're ready to learn. The aim isn't for you to always need a trainer beside you.
It's to give you the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to continue learning together. Because great dog training isn't just about what your dog learns. It's about what you learn about your dog along the way.
Every dog and caregiver is different, so choosing the right learning environment matters.
